YOU FEEL LIKE KOOL-AID IN A WINE GLASS

I remember when I first found out that Wahlburgers was opening up in Toronto, I actually didn't know what to do with myself: I've had the biggest crush on Mark Wahlberg for years, and to have a part of him (via his family's burgers) in the city, so easily accessible seemed too good to be true! Ok, so maybe the actual probability of seeing him at Wahlburgers at any given moment is highly unlikely, but a girl can dream, right? Surprisingly enough, I haven't seen many reviews about this place - even after being open for about a year now - so I knew I had to find out for myself. One Sunday, I finally cleared my schedule, called up my cousin JC, and headed to Wahlburgers to see if my dreams would live up to reality.

SHE TOLD ME THAT IF SHE AIN'T THE ONE
SHE GON' THROW UP THE DEUCE

Too. Many. (Yummy.) Options.

...but I finally made my pick!

With a side of tater tots!

WEEZY'S PICK:
"Our Burger" aka (Chef) Paul's Choice: Wahlburgers' signature burger, "the way we do it, the way we love it"

Modeled after its very own Boston location, Wahlburgers boasts a predominantly green interior, an array of TVs and tons of seating space - with options of bar, and main floor and an upstairs dining area. Not only can you sit and enjoy a burger in the restaurant, but there is also a take out counter in the back for those on the go. Ok so what's the verdict? Was the year-long anticipation to dig into a Wahlburger as picture perfect as I imagined it to be? You know, I wish I could vouch for this restaurant, but the burgers just didn't meet my expectations. On top of that, they weren't cheap, neither. Some positives: they had tater tots (though they were kinda bland) and their pickles were amazing! It's ok Marky Mark - I still have that high school crush on you - but I had to leave the burgers in the friend zone. I liked them, I just didn't "like like" them. 3 stilettos.
